Random Pictures

I always have my camera nearby in case something memorable happens. Sometimes I delete the pictures, sometimes I save and print them out. Other times I keep them just so I can look back when I need a giggle or reminder not to take life so seriously.
You always see little kids sitting in front of the TV and think nothing of it. I caught Chris sitting on the floor watching The Office. He looked like a little boy, sitting so still and so focused on the show.
...
We drove to Spring City on Mother's Day to visit Grandma Perkins. Luckily we have a portable DVD player. Here Anna was quietly enjoying her Sunday drive while watching Finding Nemo. (Gee I wonder where she gets her TV concentration from!)

Anna put the blanket over her head on the drive home from camping so she could nap!

Either the chair is too small, or the Bear is too big!

Lava Hot Springs & LavaPalooza

We took Anna on her first family camping trip to Lava Hot Springs. We went with another couple who has 2 little boys, so Anna had little camping buddies to play with. The weather was great (mid 80's) and Anna did great sleeping in the tent. She's definately a great adapter!

You can't see it too well from this picture, but yes, that is a harness restraint on my daughter that was strategically marketed as a puppy backpack. One of THE BEST investments I have made!! Chris & Anthony...deep in conversation
Amy, Aiden & Anthony
Jason & Aiden (I'm not sure who was leading!)

LavaPalooza - What the hell does IGNIS VENO mean?
Little did we know that "LavaPalooza" was happening while we were there. They were expecting 1,500 bikers to ride through Lava Hot Springs for a benefit for Autism. The crowd wasn't too rowdy, but one of the bands that performed was named the "Redheaded Bastards". Interesting!

btw...according the t-shirt, IGNIS VENO means "Passion Ride"

GRADUATION DAY!

After many (MANY) years at SLCC, I finally graduated on Friday with my Associates. Technically I finished up in December 2007, but I got to walk this past week. It was exciting and finally feels official. To many people a 2-year degree might not be a big deal, but to me it's a sign of accomplishment and dedication. It took me a long time to get my degree, and I'm happy I stuck with it. I'm debating about starting up at the University of Utah in the Fall. Having a child and working full time really makes it tough. Well see!

Spring Gardening!

This is our first spring in our new home so I was quite excited when we went to Tri City Nursery in Kaysville (which is AWESOME) this weekend to pick out plants for our garden. I got started on my buckets and hopefully in a couple weeks these babies will look much fuller and will have tons of cascading flowers with bright colors.

I love creeping jenny so I'm hoping it will thrive and fill in nicely.
I still want to add more to this bucket, but I can't decide what flowers will go with the groundcovering.

This rose bush was in the garden by the front door. Now I love roses as much as the next girl, but I'm not a fan of rose bushes. I've been telling Chris since we moved in that I was going to dig it up and he could decide where he wanted to transplant it (in the backyard). Well I finally tackled it this morning. The neighbors probably thought I was crazy with as much fun I had digging it up!
