Work Sucks...I'm Going Skiing!!

My sister Steph got free tickets to the Park City Ski Resort, so rather than wasting a weekend fighting the crowds, we decided to take a day off from work and hit the slopes!! Very much worth it!! Steph hasn't been skiing in a few years but she picked it up just like riding a bike!! We did laugh at her outfit. It's from the early 90's. I called her"Barb". She preferred "Pam". What gets me is that I doubt I could fit into ANYTHING I wore in the early 90's!! She rocked that outfit like she rocked the slopes!!
I'm such a nerd!!It totally runs in the family!!!Thanks for a GREAT day sis!!

Mary Kay Career Conference 2010

I attended the Mary Kay Career Conference this weekend at the E-Center. What an AMAZING group of women I have chosen to surround myself with! So positive and goal driven!! I am SO blessed to be part of a company that teaches you to DREAM BIG and go after EVERYTHING you want in life. NO settling for mediocre!!My future car!!Erica showing off her GIRLS LOVE PEARLS bracelet prize. She's doing great in Mary Kay and I'm so PROUD to be part of her unit! Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful opportunity Erica! Some of the Christensen UnitNew Director's taking their oath.National Sales Directors. (My NSD Tammy is 2nd from right). These woman make MONEY!!For lunch we headed to Ruby Tuesday's. So much fun hanging with the girls!
Some people might think Mary Kay is silly. You know what I think is silly?
Living a life without dreams, without goals and having to pay someone to raise my kids so that I can go sit at a job where someone else will dictate how much I get to make, when I can take vacation and how many days a year I'm allowed to get sick.
Some women use their families as their EXCUSE why they don't pursue Mary Kay. I use my family as my REASON!
I love that my daughters will grow up with a Mary Kay mom.
It's about so much more than just selling mascara and cleanser.
I'M READY TO PARTY WITH A PURPOSE!

4 Months

Abby is getting so big! 4 months already!Getting ready to spend the day outside
Enjoying cereal for the first time. She really likes it too!
I got to meet Mary Kay National Sales Director Allison LaMarr at a powerhouse workshop she gave. What an amazing woman! And what a powerful night! Here are some highlights:
*Strengthen the roots to produce the fruit!
*Stop pursuing the broken path. Switch paths!
*If you believe you won't be it - YOU WON'T!
*Worry is a prayer for what you don't want.
*Make the decision to change the way you're doing things. The old you isn't necessarily the BEST you.
*SAY AFFIRMATIONS DAILY!

And the best analogy for men and women: Men are like waffles. Compartmentalized. They have a box for their family life, a box for work, a box for friends, etc. They enter one box and shut the door behind them. Women are like spaghetti noodles. Everything in intertwined and wrapped up together. Sometimes you can't see the beginning from the end. Take fork and whirl it around and you have the whole noodle plate on one fork!!

Her speech really got me thinking about my Mary Kay business. What I'm doing, what I'm not, what I should be. She got me excited again. My dreams are bigger and I am more confident in this business than ever before!

LOOK OUT WORLD...HERE I COME!

Gateway Discovery

Angie and I took the girls to the Gateway Discovery last week for a playdate. I love that my work makes me taking floating holidays!Anna would have been happy playing in the play house kitchen all day with her "baby".
Kaylee dressed as a cow, riding a horse! The girls weren't too fond of the helicopter sound.

Anna, Kaylee & AngieThanks for the fun playdate Angie! I miss our Wednesday's!
