My little girl

Well it's official. My little girl is growing up right in front of me and there is nothing I can do to stop her! This week I found a great deal on a convertible crib off KSL classifieds and this morning Chris set it up for me. Anna told him "OH THANK YOU DADDY!" and has been in and out of it all day. I still have to get a safety rail for the side, but luckily it's low enough that if she does roll out tonight, she won't go very far (don't worry, I'll pad it with pillows!) I figure we'll get her used to the toddler bed for a little while and hopefully by summer she'll be ready for a regular bed.

Anna is very much into imitating us lately. Just tonight Chris and I were do our 30 Day Shred video and she was doing jumping jacks right along with us. And when it came time to do ab work she laid on the floor next to me and did exactly as I did. She makes me laugh so hard some times. She helped to make waffles with Chris this morning, she knew exactly where to go to get the mix, she pulls the milk out of the fridge and hands Chris exactly one egg. Sometimes I forget she's only 2!!

I'll take a sliver of $25 million!!

We took a GIRLS day trip to Malad, Idaho this morning to get lotto tickets for my mom's lotto group. Her group is made up of a bunch of old friends from high school. They've had this little lotto group for years and it was my mom's turn to make the run. It was the first time she's had to go since my dad passed away, so we made it into a GIRLS TRIP. After we stopped at Me & Lou's for lunch. They have such YUMMY scones!!

Virginia introduced me to it (picture us, sitting on the floor in her home gym, WATCHING the video. Okay it was after we had already worked out, so it doesn't count!!) Then I mention the video to my sister Steph, and she tells me "oh yeah, I have that video. LOVE IT". So I bought (Shopko $7.99 if anyone needs a little push!!)

It's easy to follow and I got a great workout. Plus looking at the abs on those women kept me motivated!! I did have to laugh when Anna laid on the floor next to me and attempted to do crunches. Oh and she did the boxing cardio too (probably better than me too!)!

We went to the Kinnersley's to watch the Steelers & Ravens battle it out for a Super Bowl spot. So guess whose house we'll be going to for the Super Bowl???

We went and visited with Chris & Erica's on Saturday. Of course the girls always have a fun time playing together. Erica made a great dinner and we laughed our butt's off watching Tropical Thunder.

Erica got Anna this cute little princess house for Christmas. Anna was so excited when Chris put it together today. She ran up and got her 2 princess chairs from her bedroom and her truck and put them inside.

She also tried to invite Bear in, but I had to tell her the house was for "Princesses only!"

My Birthday Treat

For my birthday I gave myself the best gift: A DAY OFF WORK!!

So Anna and I scheduled a play date with Angie and Kaylee. We had such a great time. We took the girls to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It's so neat and there is so much stuff to do. The girls really had a great time together.

After we went to lunch at Chili's and I have to say how proud I am of Anna. She was GREAT in the restaurant. Seriously! Have you tried to have a sit down dinner with a two year old in a restaurant that does not have a jungle gym? Angie and I were able to enjoy a very nice lunch together, thanks to Kaylee and Anna keeping each other entertained (a little too much at times!!)

New Years 2009

To ring in the new year, we decided to stay home since we 1) wanted to avoid the drunks on the roads and 2) wanted to avoid the snow storm. So instead Josh and Virginia and Jason and his family all came over for dinner.
