2009 Resolutions

I am a big believer than when that clock strikes 12, all of our errors and mistakes of 2008 are erased and we're given a clean slate. I make resolutions every year. Some I keep, so I break by 2:00pm the next day! Some I keep secret, some I make known.

So here are my "known" 2009 New Years Resolutions

1. I vow to eat better. Which means less fast food, more fruits and veggies and actually taking the time to prepare healthy meals and try new foods.

2. I vow to become more active. I will go on hikes with Chris, walk the dogs more and encourage Anna to be outside and active as much as possible.

3. I will try to see the brighter side of things instead of dwelling on the negative. I will not worry about the things I cannot control and focus on making change to the things I can.

4. I will read more books and watch less T.V. I have a whole closet full of great books that I've paid for...now is the time to read them.

5. I WILL GET OUT OF DEBT! It won't happen over night, it will take lots of discipline but I can do it!

Christmas in Spring City

We drove down to Spring City on Saturday to visit with the Perkins. It's a neat little drive (think: "Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go"). Anna always finds ways to entertain herself. Her she is pretending she's a nun!!

*Christmas 2008*

We had a great Christmas this year. My mom came and spent Christmas Eve night with us. We made a great dinner and sat around, relaxed and enjoyed the night.

Watching Anna open her gifts was a blast. She'd open them and then hand them to Chris so he could take the toys out of the wrappers.

Chris surprised Anna (and me) with this cute little play house. Anna LOVES it. She makes everyone climb inside and hide in it. She even got Josh to get in it when he and Virginia came to visit!

After we opened our gifts we headed to my mom's house to meet up with the rest of my family for a big breakfast. The only person missing this year was my dad, but he was very much there in spirit!

My sister Tannia had my dad's American flag from his funeral put into a case and had his name etched on the glass. My mom loved it (as you can see from both of their tears).

Happy 21st Jodi!

My niece Jodi turned the big 21 this month so Steph and I took her for drinks at Green Street. I'm very proud of the woman she has become.

Autumn babysat Anna for me. These two have too much fun when they are together.

We had a great time celebrating Avva's birthday.

And of course Erica and her dad always make THE BEST food. Anna, Kaylee & AvvaThe girls climbed into the cabinet and shut the doors to hide from us.

Believe it or not...we did NOT stage this picture! The girls actually climbed under Avva's bed and hid from us. They had the best time playing with each other.

4th Annual Perkins Holiday Party

We had our annual friends holiday party this past weekend. Although the snow storm stopped a few from coming up, we still had a great time. I must admit I have not really had that much to drink since before I was pregnant with Anna. Thanks Josh for all the yummy drinks you made me. He's always such a good bartender (and not to mention cook!)

Zoo Lights

Chris, Anna and I took my Mom to see the Zoo lights on Friday. It was quite COLD, but we still had a great time.
