Hurricane Casey

Josh and Virginia got a new little puppy. A German Shorthaired named Casey (Jones). Or Hurricane Casey as Virginia calls him. He is dang cute!!Bear LOVED playing with CaseyAnna thought he was pretty fun too!

A fun (and much needed) day out!

Angie and I decided we wanted to do a little shopping/lunch on Wednesday since we haven't hung out for a little while. So I was talking to Chris about it since he too was off on Wednesday and guess what my AWESOME husband suggested?? He offered to take Anna and Kaylee to Boondocks FOR THE DAY so Angie and I could have some grown-up girlfriend time! Yes my husband packed 2 three year olds out to play so we could enjoy our day toddler free. We took Abby with us, but she's a piece of cake right now. I LOVE THAT MAN!!

Even though he didn't take the camera with him, I was able to get a few pictures of their fun day out. I guess Kaylee and Anna were teasing the balloon lady to make Kaylee a kitty balloon, and all she could make was flowers!

What's a day out without cheap prizes?

Yep, matching swords!Abby LOVED shopping. Okay really she slept most the time but once we got home she woke right up and gave me some smiles!Kaylee looked so cute in her little boots and vest. I had to get a picture of her. Thanks for a great day out Angie!

We took the girls to visit with Great Grandma & Grandpa Perkins. They are living back in Murray in a cute little home and have put their Spring City home up for sale so they can be closer to the doctors and have family support. They are both doing really well now.

35 and 2

Abby turned 2 months this week. She's getting so big!

At birth: 7lbs, 19 inches

At 2 months: 10.5lbs, 21.5 inches

I know Abby looks squished, but I LOVE Anna's smile in this picture!

Another milestone in our home...I celebrated my *gulp* 35th birthday just yesterday.
35 used to seem so old. But it's not so bad.

We took the family (grandma too) to Red Robin for dinner and then dropped the girls off at Aunt Steph's so see could go see the movie Sherlock Holmes (great movie by the way)!! Dad and Anna enjoying a strawberry milkshake at dinner.

I have to tell this story: Chris went with me to Abby's 2mo check-up yesterday. He'd never been to a "shot appointment". Let's just say his little heart broke when Abby started crying after having 4 (yes 4) shots. He felt so bad for her! He held her for a good 10 minutes after our appointment in the lobby. He did not want to put her down. Me? Well I've been through it with Anna so I was well prepared for what happens, Chris, not so much!!

2010 So Far...

Chris had to work until 10pm on New Year Eve night so I took the girls over to Angie & Jason's to hang out for a little bit. Since Angie is EXPECTING, and I have a 2 month old, neither of us felt the need to actually stay up until Midnight. So we ended the evening at about 9:30pm after having a great dinner and just chatting a bit. I did actually end up staying up until Midnight. Chris came home around 11pm and we watched the ball drop in Times Square together. I simply cannot resist that first kiss at midnight!!!

Chris and Anna building their first snow man. He lasted about a day before the sun came out and started to melt him. Anna was so sad when she looked out the window and saw him tumbled over! She keeps telling me that "daddy needs to fix Fred (the snowman's name of course!)

Anna picked out this ballerina outfit from the Quilted Bear. I was going for the tutu that Tinkerbell wears, but she opted for this instead. She corrects me when I tell her it's a ballerina outfit, she says it's her Princess dress. Anna did a little decorating while I was feeding Abby. Abby smiling. It's not gas I promise!
